how to apply for a 77r to purchase a regulated firearm

1. Go to: 77r Portal
2. If you have not done so already, create an account.
3. Log in using your new account.
4. Select the ‘START NEW 77R APPLICATION’ link at the top left side of the page.
5. Click your type of application type: if you are buying from a store click “I’m purchasing from a firearm or retail store
6. If you haven’t done so already, fill in all your personal information. “NEXT”.  MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ACTUAL OCCUPATION, DO NOT PUT BUSINESS OWNER, SELF EMPLOYED, GOVERNMENT, RETIRED. Also, unless you are a licensed designated collector, do not click yes you are collector. Lastly, on the question that asks if you have purchased a firearm in the past 30 days. they are not referring to the current purchase. 
7. Click the box next to your name acknowledging the information release disclaimer. “NEXT”
8. Fill in your HQL Number. This is case sensitive, please make sure there are no extra spaces. “NEXT”
9. The next few pages are the Attestation Questions, there are 25 and you must be able to answer NO TO ALL of these questions. Any YES answer will get the application rejected
10. The next screen and final screen is for any supporting documents that you need to provide to the State Police. And then you will type your name in the required field, this will act as your signature. You will then click “SUBMIT”
